Originally self-released on Caiaphas Records in 2006, then re-released with new mixes and artwork on Beta Lactam-Ring Records in 2008.
This is the record of an ongoing set of experiments involving chamber music, sexuality, and the various connections between them. The project includes an ever-expanding constellation of folks interested in furthering these experiment, numbering around 40 at the time of this re-release of "fleur du mal," though only 10 of them are on this particular record. Sarah Tyson, Casey Kaufman, Erin Bradfield, and Carolyn Benedict played cello and sang. Enoch Porch played singing bowl, kalimba, saw, ninja drum, and sang as well. Nat Baldwin played double bass and sang. Jamie Hodgkin played piano and sang. Peter Matteson sang and played trumpet. Mandy Ellis and Devin Lamp also sang. C.J. Boyd played acoustic bass guitar, electric bass guitar, double bass, and sang. Keller McDivitt recorded us at Neat Pizza / The Acid Livingroom in the spring of 2006. Devin did some more recording and mixing summer of 2007.
